The Eastern Region Community Media Conference Is Brought To You Through The Power Of Partners
The Mid-Atlantic Region of the ACM and the Jersey Access Group, in association with HB Communications, partner together to present a conference that is one of the largest of its kind in the country.
The conference is designed to bring together community media TV station staff/volunteers, independent film makers/producers, TV technicians/engineers, and individual advocates supporting the production and distribution of media content to the community.
The Alliance for Community Media

The Alliance for Community Media provides critical support services for community media centers and for the primarily volunteer staff that keep these electronic outposts of democracy in operation. The Alliance’s activities in providing technical assistance, grassroots organizing and opportunities to share experience promote the broader goals of supporting our nation’s communities and families and promoting effective communication through community use of media.
The Alliance’s public policy program is dedicated to promoting legislation and regulation which supports PEG access. To achieve this, the Alliance works with Congress, state legislatures, the Federal Communications Commission, state public utilities commissions, and coalition partners and brings suits when necessary in courts around the country.
The membership of the Alliance for Community Media Mid-Atlantic Region is made up of all ACM members from our area. Each member who joins ACM at the national level is automatically a regional member, and ACM members from anywhere are invited and encouraged to participate in our region’s activities.
The primary yearly activity of the Alliance for Community Media Mid-Atlantic Region is this conference and trade show.

The Jersey Access Group

The Jersey Access Group (JAG) is a forum for exchanging information that promotes quality operations for New Jersey’s public, education, and government (PEG) television stations for the purpose of educating and informing the public about their communities.
The Jersey Access Group (JAG) was formed in March of 2000 by a small group of stations that saw a need for open communication between all the cable access stations in New Jersey. From its inception, it was clear that JAG would play a dominant role in the development of New Jersey’s public, educational, and government (PEG) television stations.
